The funeral stele of a girl was bought by the Berlin State Museums from the Venetian collection Giustiniani in 1897.
The girl is depicted in lateral view. She is wearing a peplos without a belt. In her left hand she holds a pyx for jewelry, whose lid is lying on the ground. Interleaves for the attachment of metal earrings and fibulas are visible. Her facial expression is serious and focused. The hair is held up with ribbons and the hairstyle appears very simple.
The beholder recognizes the thoughtfulness of the girl, who is absorbed in her activity.
